TestDisk is an effective free data recovery software! It was mainly designed to aid recover lost partitions or make your hard drive boot again even if these signs are caused by certain forms of infections, viruses or just human error (like accidentally deleting your entire partition table from your hard drive). Despite its simplicity and user-friendly design, there have been situations that has made me doubt its effectiveness such as having a virus that caused my computer to freeze or my system not having an internet connection which resulted in it taking a while for the system to boot. In situations like this, there were some technical persons that developed "double-speak" programming which resulted in the software taking much longer to recover / repair than it should have.
Fortunately, there is software that can be downloaded to solve these problems for you. You can try it out on your own by downloading the free version of TestDisk and installing it on your PC. The free software will create a bootable USB flash drive that you can use to boot up your computer. This software will also boot your PC without using any additional hardware, although I wouldn't recommend using this for long periods of time, especially if you've got important data on your disks. I would strongly suggest that you download and run the paid version of the TestDisk software to fix your Boot Images errors and to make sure that your system boots up faster.
You can learn more about partition recovery in other articles on my blog. The software is easy to use and its capabilities are extensive. This software provides you with two methods for data recovery - one to recover individual files and the other to recover all partitions of your disk. To recover files, all you need to do is to connect your test disk to the computer, run the program, and choose to either recover a single partition or all partitions. If you have several partitions, you can choose to boot your computer in "safe mode" to explore all the partitions and recover individual files.
